Configuring Your Agent on xMagic
Configuring your agent is crucial for tailoring its functionality to meet your specific needs. This guide walks you through the different settings available in the xMagic agent configuration panel.
Accessing Agent Configuration
- Log in to your xMagic account.
- Navigate to the
Configuration
tab on the left sidebar.
General Configuration
In the General Configuration section, you can set up basic and advanced features of your agent:
Agent Language
- Description: Select the language your agent will use to communicate.
- Options: English, Spanish, etc.
Response Length
- Description: Choose the verbosity of the agent's responses.
- Options: Short, Medium, Long
Welcome Message
- Field: Provide a default greeting message that users will see when starting a conversation.
Additional Instructions
- Field: Provide specific guidelines or rules for the agent to follow during interactions, ensuring a consistent tone, style, and approach in responses.
Company Description
- Field: Offer a concise overview of your company. This will help the agent respond if a user inquires about your business.
Allow Model's Knowledge
- Description: Utilizes the model's built-in understanding and pre-existing knowledge base to provide more informed and accurate responses, enhancing the quality and relevance of the information retrieved.
- Toggle: Enable to enhance decision-making capabilities.
Enable Hybrid Search
- Description: Combines semantic search, which understands the meaning and context of words, with conventional text search techniques to deliver more accurate and relevant results.
- Toggle: Turn on to improve search performance and user experience.
Disable Chat History
- Description: Prevents the agent from using previous messages in the conversation to answer your queries, enhancing privacy and data protection.
- Toggle: Enable to ensure user interactions start with a clean slate each session.
Optimize for Speed
Description: Prioritizes faster response times, potentially at the expense of depth in information or analysis complexity.
Toggle: Activate for environments where speed is critical.
Embed Configuration
Configure how your agent interacts within embedded environments:
Allowed Domains
- Description: Specify which domains are permitted to access your agent to ensure security and control.
Agent Icon
Action: Upload an image to represent your agent visually in chat interfaces.
Channel Configuration
Set up various communication channels through which your agent can interact with users:
Phone Configuration
- Description: Select a phone number for voice interactions or purchase a new number.
- Action: Enable or disable phone calls.
Email Configuration
Description: Connect your agent to an email account to manage email interactions.
Action: Connect to email services.
Saving Your Configurations
After adjusting your settings:
- Review all changes to ensure they align with your operational requirements.
- Click the
Save
button at the top or bottom of the configuration page to apply your settings.
