Knowledge Base in xMagic
The Knowledge Base feature in xMagic serves as a central repository that enhances the AI’s capability to provide precise and contextually relevant answers. This tool is crucial for tailoring the AI's interactions to better suit the specific needs and context of your organization.
Configuring the Knowledge Base
Navigate to the Knowledge Base:
- Go to the
Configuration
tab on your xMagic dashboard and selectKnowledge Base
.

Adding Data to the Knowledge Base:
- Click on
+ Add data
to begin enriching your AI’s knowledge base. You can add data through direct uploads, links, or by importing data from other platforms.
- Click on
Types of Data You Can Add
Direct Upload: Upload files directly into the knowledge base. Supported formats include PDF, DOCX, and more.
Add Links: Enter URLs to allow the AI to parse web pages directly into the knowledge base.
- Include Sub-pages: Toggle this option to automatically include all sub-pages linked from the main URL, ensuring a comprehensive capture of relevant data.

Import from Other Software:
- Confluence: Integrate directly with Confluence to pull content into the knowledge base.

Managing Your Knowledge Base
- Search and Organize: Use the search function to quickly find specific entries. Organize data by source, type, and status to keep your knowledge base structured and efficient.
- Update and Re-index: Keep your knowledge base current by updating entries and re-indexing to reflect the most recent information, ensuring the AI utilizes the latest data available.
- View Parsed Pages: Review the parsed pages from added links to verify the data captured.
